The Differences Between a Frontal Kick and a Stretch Kick

We are interested in examining the differences that might exist in the knee and hip
joints as a subject performs a frontal kick and a stretch kick. The frontal kick would include a visible bending of the knee, while the stretch kick is supposedly meant for the legto remain straight at all times. We want to see if the leg does in fact remain straight, and if bending the knee affects the angle that the hip can make during the kick. A member of the team is in Tae Kwon Do, and after telling us about the movements, we agreed that this would be a good project with definite goals.
