Procera® AllTitan was the initial restorations to be produced
by the Procera® System. A stone die or replica of the prepared
natural tooth was scanned using the Procera® Scanner, and the
data transferred to the computer were used in the design process
to develop specific characteristics for the coping. The coping was
produced in titanium using electric discharge machining and copy
milling techniques to create the restoration substructure, and a
veneer material of low-fusing porcelain was added to the coping
to create the anatomical and occlusal requirements in the restoration.
Today, the Procera® AllTitan unit is produced by Nobel Biocare
at their manufacturing facilities using the pressed powder technique
similar to all of the individual Procera® System copings. Multiple
Procera® AllTitan copings have been used to fabricate the titanium
substructure for a fixed bridge restoration. In this situation,
the titanium units and a titanium pontic are laser welded together
to form the multi-unit restoration. A number of studies involving
the Procera® AllTitan Crowns and Bridges have been conducted
by the Center.
