GABA Symposium '95
Organizers: C Tanaka (Japan), Chair; NG Bowery (UK); GAR Johnston (Australia); K Kuriyama (Japan); Y Okada (Japan); RW Olsen (US)
GABA research has been revolutionized by recent advances in molecular and cellular technologies. This satellite meeting brings together neuroscientists from the international community to provide in-depth understanding and up-to-date knowledge on GABA, a most important neurotransmitter. The program committee invites delegates who wish to present oral or poster communications to submit abstracts. Deadline for submission of abstracts is March 1, 1995. Official scientific language is English.
Session topics:
1) Molecular biology and genetics of GABA receptors and GABA transporters
2) Regulation of GABAergic transmission and intracellular signal transduction
3) GABAA receptor agonists and modulators as therapeutic agents
4) GABAB receptor ligands as new drug candidates
5) Clinical aspects of central and peripheral GABA functions
