Research in my laboratory investigates the neural and cognitive mechanisms of attention, working memory and strategic control. Using a combination of behavioral and neuroimaging studies we investigate such questions as: Do the hemispheres makes different contributions to attention and working memory? What is the effect of aging on attention and working memory? How can strategies be used to promote efficient performance? What is the relationship between attention and consciousness? How do emotion and cognition interact?
