    JBSD hosted their annual Japan Festival at Novi High School in Novi

    JBSD, one of JSA's sponsors, hosted Japan Festival in Novi High School to provide opportunities for people in the US to know more about Japanese cultures. JSA members volunteered at the festival.

    Cultural Club World Cup!

    UM's very own Samurai Blue took to the field agaist other cultural clubs on campus in a tournament delayed by rain and storms. We weren't the champions but played hard and had fun!

    Held right after Festifall this year! It is a biannual mass meeting and explained the organization, introduced the board member and upcoming events! People then went to local Japanese restaurants for dinner and a party!

  • Novi Japan Festival (10/2)

    JBSD, hosted Japan Festival at Novi High School in Novi

2015 - 16

  • Donations for Kumamoto Earthquake Relief (4/22 and 4/23)

    The Japanese Student Association collected donations to sent to the Japanese Red Cross to benefit Kumamoto earthquake relief funds.

    On April 14th and 15th two earthquakes of magnitude 6.5 and 7.3 hit Kumamoto, Japan. There are currently 59 reported deaths, 3,000 injuries, and 92,000 people are forced to evacuate the area.

  • Bake Sale Fundraiser (11/4)

    JSA baked and sold Japanese sweets at Mason Hall.

    We made Mochi with coconut milk, green tea chocolate cookies, and melon-tastes cookies.

  • Career Seminar + Kawasaki H.I. Info Session (10/6)

    Global Touch hosted career seminar and Kawasaki Heavy Industry info session

    Global Touch taught student how to get jobs in Japan and strategy for bein success at Boston Career Fair. They also presented information about Kawasaki Heavy Industry, one of the largest engineering company in Japan.

    JSA hosted second seminar by KikokuGO.com

    KikokuGO.com explaned what type of jobs are available in Japan, how to write entry sheet, and detailed schedules for getting jobs.
