What You Should Know

Hazing is any intitiation
or right of passage that ridicules, humiliates, embarrasses or endangeres.

It is any activity that causes mental anguish or physical discomfort.

If you have to ask if it is hazing, it probably is.

Working with the Michigan Student Assembly, Residence Halls Association, Office of Student Conflict Resolution, Department of Athletics, Office of Greek Life, the four Greek Life councils and other members of the community, U-M implemented the following campus-wide, anti-hazing educational awareness campaign to inform students about the State of Michigan's new hazing law, which came into effect August 18, 2004. The advertisements are currently running throughout the campus community.
