1998 MIC Plenary Speakers

• Thomas J. Meade, Ph.D.

Dr. Meade received his M.S. in  Biochemistry and Ph.D in Chemistry from Ohio State University.
This was followed by an NIH Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School and an NSF
Post-Doctoral Fellowship at California Institute of Technology.  At present, Dr. Meade is  Director
of the Program for Bioinorganic Drug Design and Discovery in the Divsion of Biology and the
Beckman Institute at California Institute of Technology.  The title of his presentation is:

Seeing is Believing:  Monitoring In Vivo Gene Expression by Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

 
 
• Dean Chapman, Ph.D.

Dr. Chapman is a Professor in the Biological, Chemical, and Physical Sciences Department atthe Illinois Institute of Technology.  His presentation is entitled:

Medical and Biological Applications of Diffraction Enhanced Imaging.
