Throughout the fall and winter semesters, U of M students tutor and mentor middle and high school students in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area. Monday through Friday, students travel to designated schools where they assist with after school homework programs and tutor students who need extra help in math, science, foreign languages, and history. Students selected to participate in KCP Outreach may be compensated through one of three options: work-study, academic credit (through Sociology 389), or hourly wages (limited spaces available).
Past Participating Schools:
- Ann Arbor New Hope Baptist Church
- Ann Arbor Scarlett Middle School
- Ypsilanti Lincoln Consolidated
