Room Type Codes:

The room type code identifies how the room is used and may reflect the physical characteristics of that space. For example, a room can be an office or a classroom, but not both. View the room type summary for a summary of all the various room type codes. If you would like an explanation of a specific code, view the appropriate room type definition. There are links between the summary and the appropriate definitions.

Room Use Function Codes:

Room use function codes represent an activity that occurs in a room. Each room must have at least one room use function code, but may have as many as five (5) function codes. If more than one activity occurs in a room, estimate the percentage of time that it is used for each activity. The room use function codes and related percentages must reflect averages over the fiscal year ending June 30th.
