Rachel Fisher

Rachel Fisher is a sophomore at the University of Michigan majoring in Political Science and History. She is very much the product of her parents: a very political and talkative Chilean mother and a Brooklyn-raised, politically interested electrical engineer who happens to be Jewish.

So, Rachel is a blunt-talking Chilena Jew who was raised in Jersey and is very politically active and interested. She struggles daily on the division in her heart between working for social causes or political ones, and admires John Lewis for managing to do both. She loved the Get on the Bus Trip, the wonderful people who accompanied her, and Joe for making it all possible. She is still trying to be more optomistic and when asked about that, she insisted that the outlook is positive.
