The Rasmussen Group

Who We Are and What We Do

The goal of the Rasmussen Group's research is to develop new nitrogen rich materials for magnetic, catalytic, optical and electronic applications. All of our chemistry has the common starting point of diaminomaleonitrile, affectionately referred to as DAMN. This tetramer of HCN repeatedly proves itself to be a strong starting material, not only by the myriad of reactions it will participate in, but also by it's commercial availability.
