| Breathe
out slowly through nose or pursed lips. |
| If
you breath out too fast through open mouth, a rapid drop in airway
back pressure may allow the airways to collapse quickly which will
induce spasms and cause air trapping. |
| Exhaling
through the nose or pursed lips provides a small amount of PEEP (positive
end expiratory pressure) reducing airway collapse after holding your
breath. |
