What our graduates say about the College:
Dora
Adami, PharmD99. Pharmacist, Pfizer, Inc., Groton, Conn.
Because the College is a smaller academic unit within a major
research university, you get the best of two worlds: immediate access
to outstanding resources, and an individualized education. Not only
are you part of a internationally-respected program whose graduates
are highly sought after, but the Colleges small size provides
tremendous opportunity for personal growth. The curriculum is excellent,
and the preceptors you encounter on rotations are the finest in the
business.

Toby
Horwitz, PharmD00. Clinical pharmacist, Family Medical Center
of Michigan and Neighborhood Health Association of Toledo. Coming
from California, I chose the U-M because it had one of the best pharmacy
programs in the country, and because of Ann Arbors socially
progressive culture. The Pharm.D. curriculum is demanding, but with
a purpose: to prepare its graduates for any professional path they
chose. The Colleges diverse selection of courses and clinical
rotations provided an one-of-a-kind educational experience.

Michael
Kraft, PharmD'99. Clinical pharmacist, surgery/nutrition, University
of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, Mich. "After I graduated
from U-M, I completed a one-year specialty residency in critical care
and nutrition support at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. When
I was interviewing for a residency, one of the important factors in
my selection was where I received my Pharm.D. education. Everyone
knew about the U-M and its well-earned reputation for excellence." |
Frances
Rodríguez, PharmD'93. Assistant professor, University of
Puerto Rico. "The knowledge and experiences I gained through
Michigan's Pharm.D. program prepared me to enter any pharmacy-related
field I chose. In addition, the College's reputation for all-around
excellence created immediate career opportunities that wouldn't have
existed had my degree been from a less-known school." |
Randall
Taylor, PharmD01. Community pharmacist, Express Pharmacy,
Detroit, Mich. I grew up in California, but always dreamed of
attending the world-renowned University of Michigan. From the day
I arrived at the College of Pharmacy, I was impressed by the attitude
of the people. Everyone was accessible. The Colleges small size
creates a nurturing, family-like atmosphere, and great friendships.
Now, as a Michigan Pharm.D., I can follow any pharmacy-related career
path I choose. That is power.

David
Zaccardelli, PharmD'88. Vice President, MDS Pharma Services, Tampa,
Fla. "When I entered the pharmaceutical industry, I had an advantage
over graduates of other academic programs because I understood the
diagnosis and treatment of disease and could talk knowledgeably about
these issues with all types of clinical experts. For me, that represents
the single most significant value of a Pharm.D. degree from Michigan.
The education you receive is just so adaptable." |
