Fiji Athletics Intramural Sports Report

Throughout the year, there are 16 campus wide sports we participate in competitively. Due to the size of our fraternity and high interest in participation, for the various sports we manage two or more teams. While brotherhood is a great priority of our fraternity, in each sport we have a team in which all individuals interested are encouraged to participate. These teams, aside from being an altogether enjoyable experience, promote bonding and stronger relationships among brothers. Secondly, we select the competitive, “A” team, which contends against the other fraternities on campus for individual sports and all year competition. These teams are headed by a captain elected by the Intramural Sports chairman, both of whom determine the individuals participating on the A team. From here, practices are hosted, strategies formed to beat the competition. To date, in the 16 sports we have participated in, we have won 8 outright championships, and are ranked 2 nd out of 26 competing fraternities.
