Philanthropy On April 10, 2004 , the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta at the University of Michigan will host its annual Phi Gam Slam 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament. In this non profit, philanthropic event all money raised will be donated to the charity of “Survival Flight”. In 2003, we raised $900 for “Habitat for Humanity”. This year, our goal is to triple that total in efforts to help “Survival Flight” train flight rescuers. We are asking businesses to sponsor this event in an effort to cover overhead costs of putting on the tournament. These costs include the renting of basketball courts, making t-shirts, advertising, etc. Please note that all sponsors' company names or logos will be published on the t-shirts distributed throughout the university's campus. Additionally, all brothers are required to complete 15 hours of community service per semester. Each pledge class is required to organize and participate in one philanthropic event. Below is a list of service events in which our colony participated as a group. Other popular brotherhood service activities include participation in Relay for Life, Circle K, and the Detroit Project.
