02/04/05 Update:

Winter rush has ended. The Alpha Phi Chapter is proud to have 10 stronge pledges to fill their Zeta class. Fiji is currently 2nd in IM sports. We are in 'A' playoffs for basketball and inter-tube waterpolo.

On January 20, 2005, 15 pledges were intiated and another was initiated January 4th in St. Louis, MO at the Annual Fiji Academy.

On November 6, 2004, the Alpha Phi Chapter recieved its charter for full membership in Phi Gamma Delta and has spent its first semester as a full chapter trying to spread the fraternities name.

Also last fall, the brothers of the Alpha Phi chapter were joined by their colony brothers from Ohio state, Omicron Deuteron. The two chapters worked together to raise almost $20,000 and ran the gameball from Ann Arbor to Columbus for the annual Ohio State Michigan football game for the American Cancer Society. This is the first of an annual tradition between the two chapters.

9/15/03 Fall Update:

Fall recruitment has begun, and Fiji is looking to add a strong quality pledge class to its ranks. Recruitment events will be taking place throughout the next few weeks to help find the best men on campus.

Over the summer, the Alpha Phi colony was granted its charter at the annual Ekklesia in Atlanta, Georgia. Brothers who attended this weekend long event and helped represent our chapter to all of Fiji include Jeff Chiambretti, James Olander, Dan McGraw, Phil Vlisides, and Matt Curd.

In sporting news, Fiji has begun practicing for the first set of intramural fall sports: Basketball, Broomball, Softball, and Soccer. After placing second in the all-around fraternity rankings last year, we hope to have an impressive showing this year with our sites set on the all-around championship.

More news will follow soon.
