About My Role at the
University of Michigan Health System
I currently serve as the Director of Research and Business Information
Systems at the Medical Center Information Technology (MCIT) organization.
MCIT is an approximately 300 person information technology support organization
for the University of Michigan Health System.
Together with 40 plus BIS team members, I work to support the institution's enterprise applications such as cost accounting, professional and facility billing and various other financial or administrative decision support oriented applications.
In addition, a significant portion of our team is dedicated to development and advanced technology applications. The result of these efforts is to empower the more efficient pursuit of patient care, research, and education and enable the talents, services, and resources of the University of Michigan Health System to be available independent of distance from any physical location.
