About Us > Committee Info

The Native American Programming Task Force is made up of students, staff, faculty, and community members who work together throughout the academic year to plan and organize the pow wow and other campus-wide events. The "Dance for Mother Earth" Pow Wow is the Task Force's largest event. Each year, planning begins in the spring immediately following the pow wow.

We invite everyone interested in working on the Task Force to take part in all of our programming. The task force is broken up into sub-committees that each work on specific parts of the event. Our sub-committees are: fundraising and budget, volunteers, publicity, admissions, hospitality, headstaff and drums, dancer registration, merchandise, and vendors. Each of these sub-committees contributes to the overall success of the event. The Task Force works together with the Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs office to plan every detail of the event.

We hope you will enjoy this year's "Dance for Mother Earth" Pow Wow.
