The Gafni/Steel Research group is a collaboration between principle investigators Professors Ari Gafni (Department of Biological Chemistry) and Duncan Steel (Departments of Physics and Electrical Engineering). We utilize state of the art physical and optical techniques to investigate protein structure, stability and protein-protein, protein-membrane interactions. We are now focusing on the interactions between beta-amyloid and primary neuron and the toxicity that leads to Alzheimer's disease. For more information about current research, please see our Research or Publications.
