Coverage includes property owned by, or loaned to, the University with an established appraised value. Covered property includes (but is not limited to) museum collections, jewelry, precious metals, paintings, rare books, sculptures, rare coins and antiques.

Arrangements may be made for coverage of loaned property. Contact Risk Management Services for further information.

Note: Coverage is not automatic and special arrangements must be made with Risk Management Services.

How to Obtain Coverage

This coverage is available to all University departments. The cost associated with this coverage is directly related to the insured value. Insurance coverage for temporary acquisitions, exhibits or loans can be arranged.

Some exclusions and deductibles do apply.

How To Submit a Claim

All incidents must be reported to the Department of Public Safety, Hospital Security or Campus Safety Office (Dearborn and Flint).

A "Proof of Loss" form (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in) must be forwarded to Risk Management Services.
