Treasurer's Committee

The Treasurer’s Committee meets in the evenings, twice per month, on central campus. Throughout the school year, the Committee works to raise money for club service trips and charitable initiatives. In doing so, members learn about a variety of business and finance related topics.

During the Fall Semester, members will have the opportunity to learn about Rotaract’s financials: how the club forms budget plans, works with the Student Organization Accounts Services (SOAS), manages its bank accounts, creates purchase requests, and handles reimbursements. Members of the Treasurer’s Committee will also be introduced to grant writing, and get hands-on experience writing their own grant applications in order to help fund the club’s annual International and Domestic Service Trips.

During the Winter Semester, members will learn about club fundraising activities and event planning. Throughout the course of the semester, they will have the opportunity to plan and execute their own club fundraisers to help fund charitable programs and club events. At the end of the academic year, if time permits, the Treasurer’s Committee will host fun and educational workshops tailored to the interests of its members.
