ROTSE-I is an array of four electronic cameras mounted on a common equatorial platform.

 

Optics:

Canon 200 mm focal length, f/1.8, telephoto lenses in FD mounts.

 

Imaging system:

Apogee Instruments AP-10 CCD cameras with Thomson 2048 x 2048 14 micron imagers.

Estimated readout noise: 25 e- at 1.0 Megapixels/second.

 

Camera mount:

Epoch Instruments rapid slewing mount.

 

Data acquisition system:

Network of five PCs consisting of one host CPU and four camera control processors operating under LINUX.

 

Current site:

Los Alamos, New Mexico
