Student Affairs Research at the University of Michigan

Many great students have been a part of Student Affairs Research, either as hourly staff or as Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program students. As you can see below, these students have moved on to great adventures.

Student Affairs Research Student Staff Alumni

Paul Moura, from La Canada, California, is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Literature, Science and the Arts. Paul intends to go to law school in the fall.

Elias Morrel Samuels, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, just completed a Masters degree in the Rackham Graduate School, and is preparing to pursue a Ph.D. in higher and postsecondary education. He is currently working with the University of Michigan reaccreditation staff.

Jay Krefman, from East Lansing, Michigan, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Literature, Science and the Arts in April 2007. Jay is currently working with Hillel in Uruguay.

Marco Krcatovich, from Holland, Michigan, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in atmospheric science in December 2005. Marco received his master's degree in higher education at the University of Pennsylvania in 2007, and now works in institutional research at Boston University.

Michael Krefman, from East Lansing, Michigan, graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in April 2004. Michael works in the Planning Division of the Gap, Inc. in San Francisco, California.

Tamra Krefman, from East Lansing, Michigan, graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in April 2002. Tamra works as a Distribution Analyst for the Banana Republic - Men's Division of the Gap, Inc. in San Francisco, California.

Jaime Saal, from Southfield, Michigan, graduated from the University of Michigan in April 2001 with a psychology major. Having completed her Masters degree in Counseling at Indiana University, Jaime works in the greater Detroit area.

Christy Charlton, from Walled Lake, Michigan, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in chemical engineering in April 2001. Christy is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Shashaank Mishra, from Calcutta, India, was a freshman in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts. He aspires to go to business school.

Student Affairs Research UROP 2006-2007 Students

Brittany Clarke, from Dayton, Ohio, was a sophomore in the School of Kinesiology and aspires to have a career in Sports Marketing.

Stephanie Cote, from Beulah, Michigan, was a sophomore in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts and is concentrating in English and Psychology.

Bethanee Gillard, from Bay City, Michigan, was a first year student in the College of Nursing.

Student Affairs Research UROP 2005-2006 Students

Brittany Clarke, from Dayton, Ohio, is a freshman in the School of Kinesiology and aspires to have a career in Sports Management.

Anindya Mishra, from Calcutta, India, was a freshman in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts. He has transferred to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is majoring in finance and hopes to return to Ann Arbor one day, to earn his masters degree.

Kyle Yokabitus, from Central Lake, Michigan (hour NE of Traverse City) is a sophomore majoring in Political Science/Pre-Law.

Sarah Zarowny, from Detroit, Michigan, is a first year student majoring in Civil Engineering.

Antony Abraham, from Grand Rapids, is a first year student focusing on Pre-Med.

Student Affairs Research UROP 2002-2003 Students

Ben Kinder, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a first year student in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.

Lauren Cowan, from Toms River, New Jersey, is a sophomore in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. She is a political science major and hopes to attend law school in the future.

Jessica Patel, from Troy, Michigan, is a sophomore pre-business student.

Kyle Yokabitus, from Central Lake, Michigan, is a first year pre-med student.

Rachel Ropp, from Maple City, Michigan, is a sophomore in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. She is currently in her second season on the UM Men's Crew Team

Lamija Abdurahmanovic, from Hamtramck, Michigan, just completed her first year in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, who hopes to be admitted to the Business School.

Sarra Nazem, from Wixom, Michigan, just completed her first year in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. Sarra is in a pre-law track to hopefully one day enter the world of politics, and eventually become President.

Poonam Patel, from Ann Arbor, Michigan, just completed her first year in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, who hopes to be admitted to the Business School.

Rachel Ropp, from Maple City, Michigan, just completed her first year in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. She is currently finishing her first season on the UM Men's Crew Team
