Following are excerpts from the guestbook in Shelly's exhibit at the Pierpont Commons Gallery at the University of Michigan North Campus in October, 1999.

To Shelly's Family,
Shelly has impeccable talent! Her paintings are gorgeous and so bright! It's hard to believe that she could paint and draw so well at such a young age. You all must be so proud of her! I can see that if she were alive today, her talent would be growing everyday. Please accept my sincerest and deepest sympathies. May God bless and keep your family safe. I'm sure she is looking down on you in heaven.

- These compsitions are amazingly rich and all so bright! They are truly inspirational for all. Shelly projects matchless happiness, vigor and love in a wide variety of subjects. She certainly had an eye for composition and arrangement. I was cheered almost immediately when I saw these.

While enjoying her pure artworks I asked God to have her be a special helpful friend to children with art talents throughout humanity.

Shelly's art looks beautiful here. Seeing her works all together in one room is very special . Shelly's art is more impressive every time we see it. We especially noticed the Vase with Flowers painting and the ceramic turtle this time. Shelly's art is always so inspirational.
