Overview
Advisory to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Identifies, advises, and consults on academic issues of importance to the entire University in conjunction with SACUA and Senate Assembly.

Recent Topics: Expansion of Faculty Senate (clinical faculty, assistant librarians), flexible tenure, grade inflation, online grade reporting, registration brackets, satisfaction surveys of students and faculty, textbook lists, undergraduate admissions and student success, budget concerns due to reduction in state appropriation, online teaching evaluations, selection process for Deans and Department Chairs, shared governance.

Established by Senate Assembly according to Regent's Bylaw 4.06 :

...The assembly shall establish standing committees to advise and consult with the vice presidents of the University on matters within the areas of their respective responsibilities....

Purpose: Advises the Vice President for Academic Affairs, SACUA and Senate Assembly]

Composition: On September 20, 1993 Senate Assembly approved the expansion of AAAC from six to ten faculty members.

Procedures: Meets every other week during the academic year.
