On February 2, SACUA elected Professor Stanley Berent (Literature, Science and the Arts, Medicine and Public Health) to serve as Chair of SACUA and Senate Assembly for the 2004-05 academic year and Associate Professor Silvia Pedraza (Literature, Science and the Arts) to serve as Vice Chair effective May 1.

On March 15, Senate Assembly will elect three faculty to serve on SACUA to replace outgoing SACUA members Professor Charles F. Koopmann, Jr. (Medicine), Associate Professor John Riebesell (Dearborn) and Associate Professor SeonAe Yeo (Nursing and Medicine) also effective May 1.

Continuing members of SACUA after May 1 will be Professor William Ensminger (Medicine), Professor Richard Gull (Flint), Professor John Lehman (Literature, Science and the Arts) and Professor Jens Zorn (Literature, Science and the Arts).
