Senate Assembly and SACUA Chair Stanley Berent attended the annual national meeting of the Coalition on Intercollegiate Athletics (COIA) on January 6-7 at Vanderbilt University.

The outcome of the national meeting was the creation of a draft academic integrity document that will be put to an approval vote in late February.  Before casting his vote as representative of the University faculty, Professor Berent is seeking input from SACUA, Senate Assembly and the University administration.  The draft document was the subject of the January Senate Assembly meeting that included presentations by Professor Berent and NCAA faculty representative Percy Bates.
