On March 7, 2005, the Senate Advisory Committee on University Affairs (SACUA) elected Bruno Giordani (Medicine) Chair and Richard Gull (Flint) Vice Chair for the 2005-06 academic year. The Chair and Vice Chair of SACUA also serve as the Chair and Vice Chair of Senate Assembly. These new one-year terms of office will begin on May 1, 2005.
On March 21, 2005, the Senate Assembly will elect three new members of SACUA to replace the three members whose three-year term of office will expire on May 1, 2005. Declared candidates are: Carl Akerlof (LSA), Charlie Koopmann (Medicine), Brett Seabury (Social Work), Charles B. Smith (Medicine), and Betty Anne Younker (Music).
