RECENT ACTIVITIES
- OCTOBER 4
SENATE ASSEMBLY MEETING
- Senate Assembly held its first meeting of the 1999-2000 academic year on
October 4 and heard President Lee Bollinger give a state of the University
address that touched on the subjects of Affirmative Action, the Life
Sciences Initiative, and the Mater Plan for the University.
- OCTOBER 7
COMMITTEE DAY LUNCHEON - On October 7, SACUA held its annual Senate Assembly committee day
luncheon to facilitate the beginning of committee work this year.
Nearly all Vice-Presidents were able to attend the luncheon and meet
with their Regentally mandated Senate Assembly advisory committees.

UPCOMING EVENTS
- OCTOBER 25
SENATE ASSEMBLY MEETING - Provost Nancy Cantor will address Senate Assembly at its second meeting
of the year on October 25. Provost
Cantor will discuss the up-coming re-accreditation process and the work of
her committees that followed-up on issues raised at last year's Provost
retreat on the Future of the Professoriate.
