Established by Senate Assembly according to Regent's Bylaw 4.06 :

...The assembly may create other standing and special committees to assist it with its work....

Established by Senate Assembly {prior to Dec. 19, 1977] Formerly called the Bylaws Committee

  Purpose: This committee shall, upon the request of the Senate, The Senate Assembly, SACUA or a committee of the Senate Assembly, review and suggest changes, if any, in the "Rules of the University Senate, the Senate Assembly, and the Senate Advisory Committee on University Affairs", or other Senate Assembly legislation.

The committee shall advise upon proposed formulations of changes in the Rules; upon Rules alleged no longer to be descriptive of the functions to be performed; and shall furnish interpretations of the meaning and application of Rules..

Composition: Six members; five faculty members and the Secretary of the Senate with terms of three years each.
