Weekly Club Racing
We offer informal friendly club racing every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening throughout the season.

Sundays:
Meet at the club at 10am to pair up with a partner and
rig the boat. The first race starts at 11am, and we
usually finish up around 2pm. Mixed-fleet (several different classes of boats) no handicap.
Wednesdays:
Meet at the club around 6pm. The first race starts roughly 6:30, subsequent races follow, until twilight or the wind dies. Mixed Fleet, no handicap.
Regattas
In addition to our usual racing, we hold several formal regattas during the sailing
season where keep score and award prizes for the top finishers. The Spring Fling JY-15 regatta and the Laser Regattas
are open to members of the JY or Laser classes, others are intended for Michigan Sailing Club members.

Memorial Regatta | Named in honor of a former long-time club member,
this regatta is considered the "club championship". Open to members
sailing club-owned boats. |
| Sunday June 17 | Spring Laser Regatta | One design regatta featuring the Laser.
Anyone with a class-legal Laser is invited. |
| Sunday July 28 | The Rookie Regatta | New members, sailors new to racing, and less
experienced racers are eligible to skipper. More experienced racers are
encouraged to crew for the rookies. Racing will be in club
JY-15s. |
| Sunday Sept 16 | Fall Laser Regatta | One design regatta featuring
the Laser. Anyone
with a class-legal Laser is invited, including Radial and
4.7. |
| Sunday Oct 29 | The Bone
Chiller Regatta |
Mixed-fleet regatta scored by Portsmouth
Handicap. |
