picnic on the lawn at 1pm.
The club will be open for sailing 10 AM to Sunset.

July 6th: 8pm S'more fun. Bonfire and marshmallows anyone? At twilight, club members are invited to view the distant fireworks on Portage Lake from our newly extended floating dock. Limited seating so come early.
July 7th: Alumni Fun Racing 10:30am-2pm
Past members are invited to race against the "Youngsters", fun prizes for top finishers (and/or best antics.)

July 19th: Night Sailing. Enjoy a peaceful sail under the waxing moon. Bring a flashlight.

Michigan Sailing Club Spring Fling Regatta

Rules
|
All classes of sailboats up to 18 feet are welcome.
The regatta will be governed by the
Racing Rules of Sailing 2013-2016, the rules of each participating
class and the Sailing Instructions.
Results will be based on Portsmouth yardstick.
We will allow co-skippering.

Eligibility |
The Regatta is open to all sailors. You don't need to be a
member of any class association to race. You don't need to be a
member of the Michigan Sailing Club either.

To sail a club boat, both skipper and crew must
be current club members.

The skipper or both co-skippers of a club boat
must have their crew sailing test signed or an equivalent level of
skill.

Club members can specify ahead of time which
hull and sail #s they wish to reserve (first come, first served).

prepare for the regatta: email

Registrations will be accepted on the morning of the regatta
until the start of the Skippers' Meeting.
There is no fee for this regatta; it's free!
We will collect an optional fee (~$10/person) at the skippers
meeting for lunch. Note that we do not have food or drink concessions, so
this is the only option to purchase lunch on-site.
Feel free to bring your own food and drinks if you
prefer.
Club members may reserve a boat in advance on a
first-come, first-served basis. There may be a waiting list if all boats are reserved.

Prizes |
Prizes will be awarded to the top five skippers and crews.
We'll also be giving away many fun prizes to other sailors.

Club Rules |
No alcohol is allowed on the grounds, and no pets. Children must be supervised at all times. |

The regatta will be held at the club's property on Baseline
Lake, at 8010 Strawberry Lake Road in Dexter, Michigan.
