The Michigan Sailing Team will be heading to Charleston to compete for the ICSA Women's National Championship! The team claimed a spot to sail in this prestigious event by winning the MCSA Women's Qualifier regatta at Notre Dame. Our qualifying team included Christina Falcone '07, Meredith Cochran '06, Maria Falcone '09, Katrina DeWitt '07, Katie O'Brien '08, and Gabe Scherzer '07. After some tough sailing, Christina and Meredith emerged on top of the A Division fleet while Maria and Katrina took second in B Division to lead Michigan to the overall win. Congratulations to our qualifying team on an excellent performance! The team looks forward to great success at the National Championship at the end of May. Good luck and Go Blue!...

As Michigan students were working hard to complete the semester, the Sailing Team took a break to sail at Northwestern's Wet Willie regatta. The weekend was a tremendous success. Scott Pfeffer '09 and Caitlin Fortune '08 took the win in A Division with a convincing twenty-six point margin over second place. Patrick Burke '08 sailed with Christine McAllister '08 and Mackenzie Fankell '09 in B Division to give Michigan 1 the overall win. Michigan 2 sailors, Erik Humm '09, Scott Wagner '09, Bruce Martin '09, and David Coviak '08 also had great performances. Congratulations to all!...
