Information > Stalking > If You Are Stalked

Stalking is a crime. If you are being stalked, you can report this to your local law enforcement agency. If you wish to make a report of stalking to the criminal or civil justice system, here are steps to take:

  1. Cease and Desist Request
  2. Evidence Collection and Log Keeping
  3. Anti-Stalking Restraining Order
  4. Civil Action
  5. Making a Police Report

SAPAC can help you with this process. Professional staff is available to provide emotional support, current information about options, and to help you brainstorm ways to keep safe and ways to deal with and resolve a stalking situation.

Remember that you did nothing to deserve to be stalked and you are not responsible for the stalker’s criminal behavior.
