There are many individuals out there that have made it their career to talk to students about men's role in sexual assault and how society has conditioned them to possibly think differently. The MA Program will be working to get these speakers to come to campus and cosponsor the event with other groups.

Last December, the MA program held its first major speaking engagement.  Together with co-sponsors from University academic departments, it was very excited to bring in  acclaimed documentary filmmaker Byron Hurt to screen his latest film, Beyond Beats and Rhymes, a powerful examination of hip-hop culture.  The event was a great success all around and the volunteers hope to bring in another speaker during the spring of 2008 to continue their high-profile education efforts.
