Report exoticizes and animalizes women of color in this advertisement. The image of an African woman in the dessert attempts to connect race with savagery. Women of color are often portrayed in advertisements wearing animal skin or in the presence of other animals. This ad is no different with the image of a tiger in the background. Not only does a tiger not belong in the African desert, but neither does this woman, scantily dressed with high heels.
