We're very proud of the mediator training we offer to the University of Michigan community. The 30 hour program is based on the developing professional standard, and gives new mediators exposure to, and opportunities to practice, advanced communication skills, problem solving skills, and the particular mediation process used at SMS, all in an interactive environment, and taught by experienced SMS volunteers.
The next round of training will be held at a Central Campus location on the last weekend of September and the first weekend of October:
Friday, September 27, 2002: 6-10pm
Saturday September 28, 2002: 9am - 6:30pm (away football game against Illinois)
Sunday September 29, 2002: 9:30am - 6:30pm
Friday October 4, 2002: 6-10pm
Saturday October 5, 2002: 9am-2pm (no football game scheduled for that day)
