Welcome from the Basileus!

Greetings! My name is Amir Alexander and I am the president of the Iota Psi "Covergirl" Chapter for the 2008-2009 school year. God is so good! I am excited for the things that Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated as a whole has done so far this year, and will do in the near future; and am especially excited for the things that Iota Psi chapter will do for our community here at the University of Michigan. Founded upon education, we will continue to be a voice for the communities we serve, and to educate the community in new and innovative ways. Our programs address a multitude of issues that impact people of all ethnic backgrounds. By bringing people together we hope to further unify the Ann Arbor campus community, as well as the surrounding communities. This year we plan to encourage people to love one another, and more importantly love themselves, by putting on programs that aim to make the heart and mind healthy with exercise. We also plan to appreciate and recognize some of the leaders on campus- and future leaders of society- at this years Black Male Highlight Scholarship Ceremony in November. Furthermore, this year we will address your political concerns with what will be on the November 4th ballot by keeping you informed advance; an October program. I promise that upon attending our programs, you will be nourished to complete health of the mind, body, and soul. As greater service, greater progress is our mission, we will believe God for the success of this year, and let Him work out all of the details. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns; or if you would simply like to stay informed, please e-mail sgrho@umich.edu. Visit our guestbook and let us know that you stopped by! Thank you, and may you have a blessed day!
