Welcome to the new home of the University of Michigan Shipman Society! The Shipman Society was founded in 1996 for recipients of the Sydney J. and Irene Shipman Scholarship for incoming first-year undergraduates at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The society, in its dedication to scholarship, leadership, and service, holds bi-weekly meetings and organizes social and community service events, as well as Shipman Weekend, an introduction and interview process for Shipman Scholarship nominees held in March.
