The School of Music Site has an array of computing facilities available for use. The site contains 34 Mac OS workstations and 6 Windows workstations.

Special Features

MIDI Synthesizers: MIDI, an acronym for Musical Instrument Digital Interface, is the computer language used to allow keyboards, computers and external effects to communicate with each other. Twenty-four of the thirty-six stations in the site are equipped with Roland JV-35 MIDI keyboards and USB Midi Interfaces.

Headphones: Patrons are encouraged to bring their own headphones for use with the computers and MIDI synthesizers. Headphones may also be checked out from the Music Library for use in the Computing Site.

Specialty Software: Special software available at this site includes Sibelius 4.1 music notation software.

Tabloid Printer: The School of Music site contains 2 black & white printers that can print 11x17 pages. The printers are available for all Faculty, Students, and Staff to use during normal operating hours. Tabloid printouts are counted as two pages per side. More information on color printing in Sites is available.

64-Sites: If the Site is in need of maintenance, call 64-SITES (Option #1) to report the problem, and a staff member of the Sites Environment Support Team will be sent to troubleshoot the problem or restock the Site.
