Arriving By Air

Attendees arriving by air should plan to fly into Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW). DTW is serviced by most major airlines.

Getting from Detroit Metro Airport to Ann Arbor

Travel to and from the airport by taxi or shuttle takes about 25 minutes and the cost varies according to vendor and time of day. Contact any of the following companies in advance to arrange for transportation from the airport.

Driving to Ann Arbor

Driving directions to Central Campus from various starting points can be found here. Note: If you are driving from Detroit Metro Airport, follow the directions labeled "From: Windsor, Detroit, and Airports".

Central Campus Map

The main conference venue is the Michigan League. A map of central campus with the Michigan League highlighted can be downloaded here. You may wish to visit the Campus Information Centers Maps & Directions web site for maps to various areas of interest as well.

Parking on Central Campus and/or at the Conference Hotels.

Unfortunately, there is no free university parking on or near campus, although several of the conference hotels do offer complimentary self and/or valet parking.

Hotel Parking

  • The Campus Inn provides complimentary on-site self parking.
  • The Bell Tower Hotel offers complimentary valet parking.
  • The Best Western Executive Plaza provides complimentary on-site self parking.
  • The Inn at the Michigan League does not offer parking and you must park in one of the University of Michigan or City of Ann Arbor Visitor Parking lots described below.

Visitor Parking for a Fee

The closest visitor parking to the conference is at the Palmer Parking Structure. Parking rates are $1.10 per hour and 190 spots are available. View a map of the Palmer Parking Structure with directions to the conference location, the Michigan League.

Parking for the Disabled

There are a limited number of metered handicap spaces directly in front of the Michigan League and all three visitor parking structures also have designated handicap spaces.

Rail and Bus Service

Ann Arbor is served by Amtrak and Greyhound.

Taxi service is available from the Amtrak Rail Depot to the campus area, which is approximately 10 blocks from the station. It is also possible to walk the 10 (uphill) blocks.
