K-Day!

October 19th, 2001 was Kids-Day!

On October 19, about fifty elementary school kids from Ford Elementary in Ypsilanti came to U of M to explore our beautiful campus and to learn a little more about college life. The fifth graders visited the Big House, toured the campus, and enjoyed the experience of eating in Markley's luxurious cafeteria. On top of all that fun, they also visited MoJo, the rez hall that Ford Elementary is paired up with, and saw a few real college dorm rooms, just like their pen pals live in. K-Day was an incredible success, the kids, teachers, and volunteers all had a great time!
