K-grams!

October 18th, 2002 was Kids-Day!

On October 18, fourty elementary school kids from Ford Elementary in Ypsilanti came to U of M to explore our  beautiful campus and to learn a little more about college life. The fifth graders visited the Big House, toured the Art Museum, and enjoyed the experience of eating in Markley's luxurious cafeteria. On top of all that fun, they also visited MoJo, the rez hall Ford Elementary is paired up with, and saw a few real college dorm rooms, just like their pen pals live in.  K-Day was an incredible success, the kids, teachers, and volunteers all had a great time!  Please check out some of the pictures, read what some of the kids had to say about K-Day, and start getting excited for next year's K-Day, who knows what fun we'll have in store!
