The SORC provides low-cost campus publicity resources to student organizations and university departments. The SORC also offers a copy machine and fax machine at low cost, as well as access to Campus Computing Sites computers and printers. Publicity and office equipment aside, balloons are our specialty! We take walk-in orders for small bouquets, large orders for organization events, and even special deliveries to residence halls.
Spring/Summer Advertising
- Reservations for the Spring and Summer are offered at a deep discount (some FREE!) and are available now on a walk-in basis.
- "Spring/Summer" reservations include the first two weeks of September, so if you have an event early in the 2009 school year or would like to reserve space to recruit new members, don't delay.
Fall 2009 Advertising
- Reservation requests for Fall bus signs are available now!

- Walk-in reservations will not be accepted during this pilot period.
- An e-mail with explicit instructions was sent to the SORC email list on June 24.
- If you have not received that email, please contact SORC at sorc@umich.edu to have it forwarded to you.
- To sign up so you receive SORC email announcements automatically, visit our Mailing List page.
- Fall reservations of digital ads and glass showcases will begin at a later time.
- SORC's digital advertising service is undergoing major changes this summer (number of screens, rental price, upload process).
- In your group's best interest, it is best to wait until these changes are finalized before you reserve digital advertising space for the Fall.
- A lottery is conducted for Diag boards, Diag banners, table tents, and the Michigan Union banner for the Fall semester.
- Online applications are available now.
- The deadline to apply for the Fall lottery is September 10. (The deadline for the Michigan Union banner from 9/7-9/14 and 9/14-9/21 is August 14).

- Please note: the spreadsheet has not been thoroughly edited; it may include duplicates or names of organizations that are not U of M groups. It might also contain names of organizations that are not exactly the same as the official, MSA-registered name of the organizaiton. Those corrections will be made at final edit in mid-September, and SORC will only complete reservations with MSA-registered organizations (exactly as their name is registered with MSA) and university departments. In other words, just because your entry might appear in this preliminary list does not mean that your organization will be included in the lottery drawing(s).
