Reaction Scenarios:

Although SORC clerks are thoroughly trained, they must be able to demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills to tackle unexpected dilemmas.  Clerks often work unsupervised, and a Manager is not always immediately available.  Describe how you would respond in each of the following situations if a Manager was not present to help you:

Scenario #1

It's Tuesday, and you are working alone.  You are busy filling balloons for an order that is due at 1:00.  At 12:45, someone comes in and asks you to cut a 10-foot banner that they plan to paint over the weekend.  You know that you will not be able to finish the balloon order in time if you stop to cut a banner.  What do you do?

Scenario #2

In the middle of a transaction, the cash register freezes and the drawer will not open.  You are unable to make change for the customer.  What do you do?

Schedule/Availability

Please list the times each day that you can NOT work due to class or other regular commitments. Be specific. For example, if you have class from 8-10 and again from 1-4, don't just type "8-4." SORC is open 10AM-11PM 5 days a week, 10AM-6PM on Fridays. We are looking for people who can work a combination of daytime, evening, and weekend hours, so if you have a 3-hour gap between classes, that is a critical piece of information for us to consider. Thank you!
