Spring/Summer Deadlines

Plenty of advertising space is available from May through mid-August, and space rental is deeply discounted. However, new placements are only availabe once a month due to limited demand and limited driver availability. Unlike the Fall/Winter, when demand is high and drivers complete routes several days a week, all print advertisements (Diag boards, Diag banners, Bus signs, and the Michigan Union banner) are placed on the same route, generally Mondays, during the Spring/Summer. Available placement dates for 2012 are:

If you submit your signs on the day they're scheduled to go up, you will need to glue-mount them yourself.
Late placement available?	No	Bus signs cannot be accepted late due to staffing requirements for placement. If you miss the deadline for the first month, your signs will be placed the following month, assuming that you reserved for more than one month.
Union Banner	Friday by closing time for Monday placement. Can be submitted as late as 3:45 Monday on the scheduled start date, but there is a $10 late fee.	3:45 p.m.
Late placement available?	No	Drivers are scheduled only once a week to place the Union banner. Don't miss the deadline!
Glass Showcases	Renter's decision!	Pick up the key to post your display anytime during regular SORC business hours. Note: SORC is open 11-4 M-F from May through August.
Late placement available?	Yes	You can pick up the key to post your display any day, but if you do it late, you are not entitled to a refund for any of the missed days. There is no fee for late placement of showcase displays.
Digital Ads	4PM two days before the reservation is scheduled to start.	Place your reservation request at least 48 hours (2 business days) in advance. Ads begin displaying at the stroke of midnight on the start date. Email the .jpg file to digital-ad@umich.edu no later than 4PM two business days before you'd like it to begin displaying. If it starts on Monday, submit by 4PM on Thursday. If it starts on Tuesday, submit by 4PM on Friday. If it starts on Wednesday, submit by 4PM on Monday. If it starts on Thursday, submit by 4PM on Tuesday. If it starts on Friday, submit by 4PM on Wednesday. If it starts on Saturday or Sunday, submit by 4PM on Thursday.
Late placement available?	Yes	There is no late fee for digital ads submitted late, but no refunds are granted for missed days of advertising.
Table Tents	n/a	Table Tents in University Unions are not offered during the Spring/Summer. Available by lottery only. Check online for availability of spaces or to be added to the wait list for any week.

The placement dates for 2012 are April 30, May 7, June 4, July 2, and July 30. If you would like to reserve bus sign space for any of these dates, submit your request the week before.
