The Burt Black Memorial Scholarship

The Burt Black Memorial Scholarship provides $1,000 scholarship annually to a UM student with a disability who embodies the qualities of optimism, determination, courage and a zest for life; has demonstrated involvement in school and community; and has persevered in academic achievement. The award will be used for tuition, books or other related educational expenses related to accommodations for disabilities.

All application materials must be submitted to Services for Students with Disabilities by October 9. Students receiving awards will be notified by the end of October.
