The Ridley Scholarship
The Ridley Scholarship is typically awarded to six to seven students in amounts ranging from $200 to $2000. Funds are distributed directly to student recipients' accounts for the calendar year.
The following are required of a student applying for Ridley Scholarships:
- student must have filled out a Financial Aid Form
- student must be enrolled Fall and Winter
- student must have a permanent disability with documentation on file with SSWD
- student must have financial need
The following will be considered when awarding the Ridley Scholarships:
- financial need
- parental income
- type of disability
- funding received from Michigan Rehabilitation Services, Council for the Blind or other rehabilitation agency
Students registered with SSWD receive application materials for the Ridley Scholarship in September, and these documents must be submitted by September 15th of each year.
