ACUI has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.  My first involvement was as a naive, pool playing girl in 1989, when I was one of only two girls who showed up for the campus pool tournament.  I defeated Theresa Z. (a major upset, as I recall) to win an invitation to the University of Dayton to compete in 8-ball.  I competed in regional tournaments twice more after that, never placing higher than 4th.

Later, when I became the Manager of the Billiards Room, it was I who accompanied younger students to tournaments all over Michigan and Ohio.  Eventually, I started attending professional conferences, learning that there is more to ACUI than Recreation Tournaments.  In 1998, I became the Region 7 Recreation Coordinator, and in 2004 took over the reins as the National 9-ball Director.  In July 2006 I began to oversee the whole Recreation & Leisure Activities program, which includes all regional recreation tournaments, independent qualifying events, and the International 9-ball, Table Tennis, and Trap & Skeet Championships.

I have made hundreds of great friends over the years through my ACUI involvement!

You'll find pictures of some, but not all, of my ACUI trips and adventures in the links to the left.  These conferences far precede my website, so I have oodles of photographs from days gone by that are yet to be scanned.  It could take a while.  :-)
