Welcome to our page of movie ratings! We watch at least one movie a week on average, so by the end of each year, this list will theoretically grow by about 50 movies. In 2008 and 2009, we added about 80 movies to the ratings list each year. In 2010, only about 65.
A few important things to know about our ratings and this list:

Click on any letter in the margins for an alphabetical listing of movies starting with that letter.

Any movie that starts with "A," "An," or "The" is listed under the first letter of the next word in the title. For example, "The Shawshank Redemption" is listed under "S."

Movies whose titles begin with numerals are listed first, before the movies that start with "A." For example, "50 First Dates."

One should also note that we try to base our ratings by comparing movies within the same genre (comedy-comedy, documentary-documentary, etc.). For example, Derek awarded Ace Ventura: Pet Detective a 10, but comparing the unique brilliance of AV:PD with a masterpiece like Lawrence of Arabia (also rated a 10 by Derek) is totally apples-and-oranges. By this same token, The Bourne Supremacy is rated in comparison to other action/suspense films and Kingpin is compared to other toilet-humor comedies.

There are a lot of movies that we watched before I created this website that still need to be added. Probably hundreds of movies, if not over a thousand. I'll try to add movies whenever I think of them, but if you're curious to know our opinion on a particular movie, e-mail me and I'll be sure to add it!
